Bengaluru-based electric mobility startup E3 Electric.Ai has started production of its E3 TRION electric scooter at its Hyderabad manufacturing facility, marking an important step from product development to customer deliveries. The company says the first deliveries will begin in batches from October 7, 2026.
The timing is significant for E3 Electric.Ai, as October 7 also marks the company’s second anniversary. The TRION will initially be offered in three variants — C1, C1X and C2 — aimed at different types of users, including individual riders, families and business customers.
E3 TRION production starts in Hyderabad
According to E3 Electric.Ai, the TRION has now entered production following an extensive development and validation programme. The company says the electric scooter has completed more than 550 Design Validation Plan tests, covering areas including reliability, safety and durability.
The testing programme included chassis dynamometer power testing, range testing and brake-pressure sensor validation. E3 also conducted accelerated durability testing using a Cam Drum Test Rig with a 205 kg payload.
The scooter was additionally subjected to water-wading tests between 100 mm and 300 mm at different speeds, along with heavy rain and water-wash testing. A 260-km mixed-terrain road test between Bengaluru and Hogenakkal was also carried out to assess the scooter across gradients, bends and rough surfaces.
Three E3 TRION variants will be delivered
The E3 TRION electric scooter will be introduced in phases through three variants: C1, C1X and C2.
The C1 uses a 2.3 kWh battery, while the C1X and C2 use 3 kWh battery configurations. The range includes six colour options: Nova Blue, Teal Blue, Graphite Grey, Misty Green, Solar Red and Luna White.
The company has positioned the different versions for different riding requirements rather than offering a single configuration for every customer. This could help E3 Electric.Ai address multiple parts of India’s growing electric scooter market as it expands production.
First 100 buyers get extended warranty
E3 Electric.Ai is also offering a special ownership benefit to its first 100 customers, who will form what the company calls its founding-owner community.
These customers will receive an 8-year or 1 lakh km extended warranty, whichever comes first, covering the battery and key scooter components. They will also receive one year of E3 Wingman roadside assistance. The company says the combined benefit is valued at ₹6,500 for the C1 and ₹8,500 for the C1X and C2, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Why the E3 TRION matters
The move into production is more important than another electric scooter announcement because it puts E3 Electric.Ai closer to the real-world ownership stage. For buyers, actual deliveries will provide the first opportunity to judge factors such as range, ride quality, charging convenience, reliability and after-sales support outside controlled testing conditions.
The company is also entering a market where established manufacturers and newer EV brands are competing aggressively on price, range, technology and ownership experience. The TRION’s progress after deliveries begin will therefore be worth watching, particularly as E3 Electric.Ai expands beyond its initial markets.
For now, the key development is clear: E3 TRION production has officially begun, and the first customer deliveries are scheduled to start on October 7.
