Honda has expanded its electric scooter portfolio in India with the launch of the new Honda QC3. Priced at ₹1.35 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the new electric scooter is aimed at family users and daily city commuters.

The QC3 comes with a 3 kWh battery, a claimed 145 km IDC range, connected technology and 32 litres of under-seat storage. Honda has initially started bookings and sales in five cities, with a wider rollout planned in phases.

Honda QC3 Price and Booking

The Honda QC3 has been launched at ₹1,35,000 ex-showroom in Delhi.

Bookings have opened with a ₹5,000 booking amount through Honda’s website and selected RedWing dealerships.

For the initial phase, the scooter is available in:

  • Delhi
  • Agra
  • Cuttack
  • Surat
  • Kollam

Honda plans to expand availability to more cities in phases.

145 Km Range From a 3 kWh Battery

The biggest highlight of the Honda QC3 is its battery and claimed range.

The scooter uses a 3.0 kWh battery pack and delivers a claimed 145 km IDC range on a single charge.

Honda says the battery can charge from 0 to 80 percent in around 2 hours 40 minutes, while a full charge takes approximately four hours.

The actual range in daily riding can vary depending on traffic, speed, rider weight, road conditions and riding mode, so buyers should not expect the IDC figure in every situation.

Designed as a Family Electric Scooter

Honda has positioned the QC3 as a practical electric scooter for families and everyday urban transportation.

One of its major practical features is the 32-litre under-seat storage area. This gives riders more space for daily belongings and household use.

The scooter also gets a Smart Key, adding convenience for everyday riding.

Honda QC3 Gets 5-Inch TFT Display

The new electric scooter comes with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster.

The display supports Honda RoadSync connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, giving the QC3 a more connected riding experience.

The combination of navigation, connected features and Smart Key makes the QC3 more than a basic commuter scooter.

Four Colour Options

Honda is offering the QC3 in four colour options:

  • Matt Photon Gray Metallic
  • Pearl Precious White
  • Pearl Shallow Blue
  • Pearl Siren Blue

The design follows a modern family-scooter approach rather than a performance-focused electric scooter design.

Honda QC3 Becomes Honda’s Third Electric Scooter

The QC3 is Honda’s third electric scooter in India, following the QC1 and Activa e:.

Honda had announced the QC3 as part of its expanded 2026 India portfolio. The company’s July announcement described it as a smart family EV with a 3 kWh battery, connected features and large storage capacity.

Honda’s own latest India blog also identifies the QC3 as its newest electric scooter and lists a 145 km IDC range, around 2 hours 40 minutes for 80 percent charging and 32 litres of storage.

QC3 Enters a Crowded Electric Scooter Market

The Honda QC3 arrives at a time when India’s electric two-wheeler market is growing rapidly.

According to FADA data reported in September, India recorded 1,82,936 electric two-wheeler retail sales in August 2026, up around 67 percent year-on-year. The segment had crossed two lakh units in July before cooling slightly in August.

The broader Indian EV market also recorded a strong August. Total EV retail sales reached 2,98,448 units, representing 52.9 percent year-on-year growth, according to FADA data.

That makes the timing of Honda’s new family EV significant. Buyers now have a much larger selection of electric scooters across different price points.

Honda QC3 vs Popular Family EV Scooters

The QC3 will compete in a segment that already includes models such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and Vida VX2.

Its key selling points are its 145 km claimed IDC range, 32-litre storage, connected display and Honda’s established two-wheeler sales and service network.

The ₹1.35 lakh ex-showroom price also places it directly in the middle of the competitive family electric scooter segment.

Why the Honda QC3 Matters

Honda’s electric scooter journey in India has so far included the QC1 and Activa e:. The QC3 represents a move toward a more practical, longer-range family scooter.

The combination of a 3 kWh battery, 145 km IDC range, large storage capacity and connected features gives Honda a product aimed at customers who want an electric scooter for regular everyday use.

The biggest question now will be how quickly Honda expands the QC3 beyond its initial five-city rollout.

Final Take

The Honda QC3 gives Honda a stronger entry into India’s increasingly competitive electric scooter market.

With a ₹1.35 lakh price tag, 145 km claimed range, 3 kWh battery and 32-litre storage, the QC3 is focused more on everyday practicality than outright performance.

The initial five-city rollout is still limited, but Honda has confirmed that availability will expand in phases. As India’s electric two-wheeler market continues to grow, the QC3 gives Honda another opportunity to build its EV presence among family and daily-use scooter buyers.
